More Christmas Gift Ideas

Some more things that I think would make lovely presents... Quite a few candles feature.

    Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit palette
  • Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit - regular readers will know that I find face palettes a little bit gimicky but Hourglass have really nailed it here. Wearable colours that will suit most skintones, giving a beautiful lit finish without being too shimmery and over the top. Really nice shaped palette with a mirror, chunky but not too fat to go in a travel make-up bag. Especially came into its own when I had a dramatic change in hair colour and needed to warm up my skin tone without looking overly bronzed for December. (Top Row l-r: Dim Light Powder, Irridescent Light powder, Diffused Light powder. Bottom Row l-r: Mood Exposure Blush, Luminous Flush Blush, Luminous Bronze Light Bronzer) £62

    Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Palette
  • Urban Decay Gwen Stefani - for those of us who are old enough to remember when Gwen Stefani first appeared (for me it was singing Don't Speak on Top of the Pops with No Doubt circa 1997... I was 14) at least half of us will have wanted to be her. Still do. Designed by the lady herself to include all the colours she loves and wears - this is as close as we're going to get, we just need a classic Gwen red lipstick now please. A true collaboration both sides agree that she was fully involved in every aspect of this from shade selection to the really cool monochrome palette design. Considering the fantastic look and finish of this palette and the great range of colours I actually thing this is spot-on price wise. And I usually think they are outrageously overpriced. Make of that what you will. £40
  • Skandinavisk Christmas Candles - I always find candle sets a bit of a swizz (god this is post is reading a bit bah humbug isn't it?) but I genuiely love the smell of each of these enough that I would want each of them in a large size (I have actually bought the Skog full size one for my stocking). Each candle has 12 hours burn time - Skog is forest, Sno is... well snow and Jul is sort of Christmas or Holiday). I am really looking forward the smell of Skog steering me through January. £35
