Waitrose Foam Bath

Every now and again Waitrose really knock it out of the park. Their baby bottom butter is still one of the best moisturisers you can get and now they've come up with a great, reasonably priced foam baths I've tried.

And I tried them by accident. We were tightening our belts before Christmas and when looking for something to go in my bath I decided to go for the cheapest thing I could find and these happened to be on a 3 for 2 offer. So I ordered 3 for £3 and they are great.

Firstly, the choice of smells is really well thought out and quite unusual. No coconut or vanilla (or Lavender sadly as I was trying to find something soothing but anyway) but Ginger and Clementine (not overpoweringly orange or ginger which was unexpected), Fig Leaf & Sandlewood and Amber & Bergamot. Now these smell incredible in the bottle and are quite a lot less strong once they are in the bath but they do smell, and they smell good which for £1.50 is fantastic.

London is a hardwater area and the majority of bubble baths I try the actual bubbles are slim to none but this actually gives you bubbles. So you have smell and bubbles and it's not budget breaking. I should also mention that it has not dried my skin out, something which has happened in the past with foam baths, particularly the cheaper ones.

Spending Ban

I am on a self-imposed product buying ban. We are thinking about moving at the beginning of next year and it has been brought to my attention that our bathroom is heaving with beauty and make-up stuff and I really don't need to be buying anymore. So I thought I'd share with you my bathroom cabinet and a few of the things in it. Bear in mind this is just the front row of things - there are about five rows in most places. And I have two big plastic boxes of other things and none of this is make-up... please excuse my terrible writing...

Waitrose Baby Bottom Butter

There was a lot of hype about this when it first came out a couple of years ago. Initially it was mothers saying it was so good they were using it on themselves and then people seemed to be raving about it wherever I looked. It's rare that I go to Waitrose as I get carried away with all the lovely food and things and spend my months money in one sweep, but when I went at the beginning of the year I remembered to get some to try out and the first thing that really impressed me was the price. Waitrose is definitely not known for it's cheapness so I was prepared for this to be £5 or more but it's £1.92... ridiculously cheap for what it is.

I haven't used it on my face yet but some women have and say it's just great for that too. Try it on your baby or just try it on yourself, this is going to be a regular in my bathroom cabinet. For that price there is just no point in buying any other moisturise.

What You Need to Know - Waitrose Bottom Butter
  •  £3 for 125ml
  • Contains Olive Oil, Chamomile Oil
  • Available from Waitrose and Ocado
